Ghana Police Service has intercepted some parcels suspected to be narcotic drugs on the Tema Akosombo road. The operation which followed intelligence received by Ghana Police Service started on 10th January, 2026 about the suspicious parcels that were expected to reach the Greater Accra region from the Volta Reion. Police surveillance mounted at the Agomeda junction intercepted two vehicles;a Toyota Highlander(GS 2013 - 13) and a Mitsubishi Pajero (GC 400 - 22) containing a total of 1613 yellow wrapped parcels of the suspected narcotic drugs driven by two drivers, Isaac Odoi(33) and Kwame Mani(39). The suspects were immediately arrested and escorted to the police station for further action.
